American Flyer Presidential Set help....

Hi Everyone...
I am looking for something that I hope you guys can help me with, but I also thought this might be a good place for a few comments & questions...

I consider myself very fortunate in recently being able to order the American Flyer Red 4689 Presidential loco from Phil at JR Junction. Phil sure has a way of making this stuff fun, thank you for the terrific sale Phil! I've been dazzled by this loco ever since it hit the catalog!

Also just a couple comments I hope come across as beng constructive...if there was ever one thing I can't begin to understand, it's the tiny photo's MTH/Lionel use to market their products. I'm talking of their online advertising...If I manufactured something as absolutely gorgeous as these sets, I would put out the biggest, brightest boldest photo you'd ever set eye's on of the product! Actually I'd have a dozen photo's. I'd plaster it everywhere... I do realize it's in their catalogs, but a "real photo" would go an awful long way helping to advertise (In my humble opinion). The catalogs online load very slow for me so accessing them isn't much of an option. The "stock photo" of the Std Gauge presidential set on my monitor shows up about 1/2" tall by 6" wide. I just find it unusual that such a cool thing as the old tinplate sets isn't promoted better is all. Am I the only one who thinks like this?

Also, I am curious, I know MTH or Lionel would never provide production numbers and this matters to me little other than getting my hopes up for finding a set of the cars, but does anyone even have a clue as to how many of these sets would have been manufactured? A hundred? A thousand? Ten thousand? Any way of knowing if there is any hope they'll make another round of them in the future? So far I have not been able to find the cars. Anyone have any suggestions towards that end? Perhaps I might get lucky and find a set at a show some day, although most shows are a minimum of a few hours away & I usually don't get to them unfortunately.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help...
