general suggestions for search etc

1) change the quick search box to default to search BY DATE by default

2) prevent my avatar from randomly disappearing

3) provide a new posts since last visit button like vbulletin

4) provide a search box or filter at the top of the for sale and wanted forum to try to quick filter the results in a logical list
