Does anyone know what size I need to complete the figure 8?

For 90deg and O30 curves it looks like just a fraction longer than 10 inches.

for 90deg and O42 curves (12 per circle), you'll need 16.5 inches (which can be done with SuperSnap with (2) 3.5"; (1) 4"; and (1) 5.5").
