Reply to "Spline Intermodal Husky Stacks?"

Sigh.

 

What I bought was 30-76597, it's called a Husky Stack car.  It looks like a single unit of what I posted in the photo.  If I don't see the nuances that differentiate different manufactures, I'm sorry.  As for spline, it's an engineering term used for straight bits that pivot at their connecting location, which describe the rail cars, even if it's not the term the railroads use.  Perhaps articulated is the correct railroad term as noted above.

 

So, if no one has made in O gauge what I showed in the image, that is a pity, as I like them.  UP runs a lot of them between Phoenix and Tucson, so I see them a lot.

 

Since my posting, I found this video while looking on YouTube at trains with my 2 year old son.  There is an example of something close at the 2 min mark.  Does anyone know what those are?  They'd be good enough for me to fill my desire.  Thanks.
