OK, maybe it's set in WWII, but then Ralphie's family car should have a gas ration sticker in the window. But... what about Farkus's coon-skin cap? They weren't around until 1955 when the Davy Crockett craze started. Then there's that Little Orphan Annie decoder ring... My head hurts!
