Pennsyk4, both Kermit and Ken Maynard grew up here in Columbus. They lived about 8 blocks from what was then the fairgrounds. I worked with an older gentleman years ago that said when Kermit came back to visit his mother that he kept his horse at the fairgrounds and would ride it around town. This was back in the 1930's.
