As mentioned above, a good pair of "needle-nose" pliars (mine are USA made) and a good pair of "diagonal cutters" (Exelite) combined with a track pin work as well or better than a pair of so-called "track pliars".

I have a pair of track pliars, and they are somewhat useful.
