Dave,  somehow I missed your post the other day.  3-5 years ago was like night-and-day compared to today in terms of selling trains.  I think I sold my first bunch of Lionel O-Gauge tinplate accessories here on the forum back in 2012.  Just about everything I posted sold -- some within minutes of posting.  Today... Not even close.

Oh well... Let's hope what they say in real estate applies here as well... For every train there is a buyer somewhere.

I believe that's true.  We sold our house 3 years ago in 2 weeks for $35k more than we were asking the year before.

Sometimes I post things on line that I think will never sell, and poof they're gone.  Other times I think that I've priced something fairly, and it doesn't go.  Sometimes I price things with the "I really don't want to sell it price".  If it goes I'm happy and if it doesn't, I'm happy.  The buyer is always in control of making it happen.
