A stock car!
If that is supposed to be NS, it is the wrong horse.
A glue vat car...oh my god..that's bad..I hate horses. Ever since the one that bucked me off at the Red Owl Store......LOL
Menard's first operating car!!! The horse corral!

Okay, I will start:
For all of you 'neigh' - sayers, Mark is our 'mane' man and would not try to 'foal' us. If it is not Norfolk Southern, it must be another 'stable' Railroad. Another great product which may not remain available 'furlong'
---ahhhhh----finally was able and Menards allowed me toorder the Navy flatcar----hurrrayyy----maybe I'l makebelieve that its on the way to my last ship----eh?
----a horse?---why a horse is a horse of course----!!
A barn, with a farm house and fence.
Bob, surprised you don't like horses! We have 24 show horses here and guess what, they all wear shoes! Lol but seriously guys that horse is a Clydesdale as in Budweiser Clydesdales! A Budweiser freight car is my guess! If, ( be still my beating heart) it's a model of the Budweiser hitch on a flat car I'll buy a dozen!
A Budweiser Brewery!
It will be a depressed center car.
The brewery even in scale would be enormous, but it has to be Budweiser related! St. Louis Missouri is the home of Budweiser and Menards has 19 stores in Missouri and more planned! Just sayin! But then again I may be wrong and look like a dope! But whatever it is, you know we'll have to have it! LOL
Come on the American power and light building isn't that small. It could be a brewery! LOL just saying I like my beer!
We finally saw the movie Seabiscuit. I'm guessing it's a stock car.
Wow John
That must be Hoss Cartwright's old horse, certainly couldn't be little Joe's.
Don't get me wrong, i'm gonna have whatever it is because i'm addicted and the meetings aren't helping! I know that the horses are shipped in huge tractor trailers now, don't know if they were ever shipped by rail years ago but it could be a BudWeiser trailer on a flatcar! I'm being abnoxious so I'll stop now! LOL
Better buy "stock" in Menards!
I hope it's the glue vat car!
Budweiser! Yuck! Once you had a Killian draft you will never drink any other beer. And I did not like their super bowl commercial at all.
Mark, since you are so excited about your next new item, why wait. Just announce it tomorrow.

Play Trains, I am just wondering if your going to the meetings with Bob, if so just know its a slippery slop! Also have you tried spending some of your extra cash on shoes?
Mike, with 24 show horses here, we spend a lot of extra cash on shoes! And unlike Bob's wife, they only wear one set of 4, but need new ones every 6,7 weeks! LOL
LOL That's still a lot of shoes!
Stock car with sound. Maybe because it has been a while could it possible be a beer brewery with the mention of a Clydesdale. So long to wait for additional teasers. I am still flipping a coin for the dealer pack of pacemaker cars..............Paul
It's Sarah Jessica Parker on another one of those cool WWII Nose-Art Boxcars!!!
Mark is the Menard's train "Boss" so it will be a flat car with two "Boss" Ford Mustangs! Giddyap!
If that is a Clydesdale, I might be in trouble, I got a 7 cars in my beer train so far.
Yet again they could be getting into stock cars or making a building with a horse as a part of a logo in the side so many possibilities
Toledoed, if it's mustangs I'm hooked! Got a pony convertible in the garage, should have one on the layout! Still thinking Budweiser boxcar or TOFC!
Gilly@N&W posted:It's Sarah Jessica Parker on another one of those cool WWII Nose-Art Boxcars!!!
That is a nice horse...............................it's smiling!
Youse guys are having too much fun with this.
Mmmm...beer!
Hmmmmm, well gee Wilbur, I have no idea
The more I look at that horse head, the more I wonder! Could it possibly be a Godfather part 1 boxcar? Lol I have to stop, I have to!!!

Boooo!

LOL LOL LOL. I always envisioned the same
I know I was just making a statement on how others were judging someone's looks
OMG,,, It would be a sin for Menards to do anything Budweiser considering that they are from Wisconsin and Wisconsin is home to Miller and so many great other breweries, big and small.
I don’t think they have any rice paddies there either for the Bud.
Here's another teaser!
I'm on vacation until Monday (2/20), so if I don't like your guesses right away, don't take it personally! Who knows, I might still check in with you guys over the weekend.
Thank you,
Mark the Menards Train Guy
Wow, a whole weekend? Why do I feel so lonely already? I think it's great you're doing a box car with my Dear wife's first name! Thanks !! LOL
Menards Ranch Supply?
A new building !!!
Reminds me of the old saying, why the long face?
A brewery with MRS Malts and Barley!
So many possibilities. Mark is going on another vacation.......Maybe Cabinet is going to be on vacation too. Both are likely going to the Orient to check on new production. And by the way Cabinet Bob it is your fault for leading me astray. I just ordered three more box cars. My wall went from a mini, mini, mini wall to a mini, mini wall. LOL This is going to be a rough week. I better hold some money in reserve............Paul
The first Menards locomotive? A one horsepower switcher?
MRS?
Mark's Reply Stumps us!
I am guessing OSHA would have a ball picking this apart.
Where is the safety harness?
Where is the safety hook?
Where are the knee and elbow pads?
Where is the safety hat.
and finally.
Where is the florescent clothes?
I would love for it to be this engine... but it's probably gonna be a boxcar or tank car:
MRS provides terminal rail-switching services to south St. Louis industries and operates a fleet of insulated beverage railcars and grain hopper cars.
Its two trucking subsidiaries provide delivery of cans, bottles and outbound beer for four Anheuser-Busch breweries.
If it is a box car I'm in if it is like the one Jim Sutter posted. But still hoping for a new buidling............Paul

This means that I have to check with the "missus" before I buy any more Menards stuff.

Here is my guess based on the clues provided so far.

Thanks for sharing this, I've never seen it before. I own heavy horses and I know that 1 horse power is not a way to measure what they can do. They are more like steam engines and should be measure in tractive effort. There is a video online of a 4 horse "power" team pulling a tractor trailer out of a snow drift. My lawn mower is more than 4 horsepower and there is no way to get that engine to do that job.
Tony
Jim, you're really getting my hopes up! If the new Menards flat car is that TOFC then I'm in for a dozen! LOL
play trains posted:Jim, you're really getting my hopes up! If the new Menards flat car is that TOFC then I'm in for a dozen! LOL
Would that be the same as two six-packs?

Great job by that team! I've started a fresh thread on "horse switchers" here:
https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/t...orses-switching-cars
Let's see what comes up. You're right - all that leverage from those huge muscles doesn't compare to a dinky lawn-mower crank.
My money is on a repair maintenance terminal building operated by the MRS company.
So................. when will this be presented?
Regards,
Swafford
Today. Lol
Many of you caught onto the Clydesdale and Manufacturers Railway teasers. Great guesses everyone!
Introducing this beautiful MRS Flatcar with Budweiser Truck!
In 1887, Adolphus Busch founded the Manufacturers Railway Company. This short-line track contained 13.5 miles of track, connecting the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis to the Alton and Southern Railway in Illinois. A favorite of many railroad enthusiasts because of its long history, this line not only streamlined their beer delivery system, but it was also used to ship everything from bags to boilers and bathtubs along the St. Louis riverfront. In the 1940s, “the beer railroad” maintained 42 miles of track, shipping until its closure on March 13, 2011.
This 11-1/2’’ Manufacturers Railway Flatcar not only features a beautifully painted woodgrain deck, but it‘s also equipped with premium metal trucks and operating couplers. But this impressive piece doesn’t stop there! Sitting atop the flatcar is an O scale die-cast beverage truck. From its bold red paint and chrome accents to its Budweiser® branded decorations, this lifelike truck has it all. It even includes side doors that actually open!
Flatcar measures 11-1/2" L (coupler to coupler)
Deck measures 10-3/8" L x 2-1/2" W
Truck measures 6" L x 1-3/4" W x 2-1/4" H

Awesome! Always great products from Menards.
Thank you Mark for keeping us abreast of the new items and always listening to us.
Mark,
Although I'm not a huge fan of Budweiser, I'm in for one of these! For some reason, it's something I really like!
Plus I might order some of the track to try out, as I'm due for some tubular track!

Mark: Your my best BUD....
Beautiful! Though not my TOFC! No one can ever accuse Menards and Mark of being "Busch" league!! LOL
Mark ,a sure winner.
Swafford, you're killing me! You were the first one on the first page of this thread to guess a Budweiser Delivery Truck! So, you're supposed to ask Mark if you can get a free one? Not that it would happen.
It's kind of like the "Wheel Of Fortune"... when you solve the riddle, that's the prize you get.
Well I guess you're probably a "Let's Make A Deal" kind of guy: Okay we got the truck. Now how about a building to park the truck in front of.
Mark, you'd be listening - With a correct guess, Frank has some clout now!
Mark you've got another winner. Glad they've changed the trucks on the short flats. What is the chance that you'll be offering just the beverage truck? I could use 4 of them to send to the paint shop for a different look. Yea I know "slim & none and Slim just left town. Guess I'll just spring for a 4 pk of Bud.
Mark, Great new additions to the Menards stock, especially the Bud truck. Just a minor point. In this crazy PC world shouldn't there be a notice saying "Not available to anyone under 21". LOL.

If you are looking to paint the truck and decorate like the National Bohemian, we do have a Pepsi truck without the flatcar that you can start with. Here's a link.

The trucks on the short flats have not changed. You're looking at the "in-between" 11.5" flatcar. As in "in-between" the 10.5" and the 14.5" flatcars. You'll notice there's no brakewheel on this one.
It's only ever been offered with vehicle loads, so there weren't any obvious announcements about a third flatcar being added to the lineup--the loads on them were the 'stars of the show', so to speak.

Mark you just saved me a few $. I'm going to order 2 Pepsi trucks for the paint shop and 2 of the Bud flats. Since you've saved me some $ I'll send a free Pennsy van to the 1st person who can ID the exact location where the Natty Boh truck is parked.. Good luck and please only respond via email @ nicholscharpam@comcast.net.
That didn't take long. I have a winner. Will post when I get his board name.
The winner is Rich (AKA RockyGN) from Morristown NJ.
Mark,
Any possibility of one of these trucks done in Royal Crown Cola ? The RC logo on your corner building is really cool and added to my decision to buy that building.

No need to suck up Bob, Mark will be over later the with 6 pack of Bud, or maybe even a 6 pack of cars!
Home run!!!! That's an item that's been missing for a looooong time. I think I may just order a box full and open up a distributor ship on my layout. You rock Mark!
I give up. I model the wrong time period. A 2000+ model truck just doesn't fit in a 50's - 70's time period train layout.
Awww. Someone got me all excited mentioning they thought it was going to be a brewery.
A brewery building would be awesome by the way!!
I believe beer trucks, beer reefers and beer trailers on flat cars could be big sellers for Menard's. Hey Menard's, start pumping them out.
Well, this Budweiser truck I will definitely be adding to our layout.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Fred Gwynn and John Kerry walk into a bar. The bartender comes over and says,"Hey guys, why the long faces?"
