Has anyone besides me ever wondered why Lionel put the silver series passenger cars with the 2341 Jersey Central FM instead of the 2368 B&0 F3 or the 2378 Milwaukee Road? An all operating car 2341 JC FM Freight set would have been spectacular. Was it because they did not want a F3 passenger set to compete with unsold Congressional inventory. I have been using Post War Celebration merchandise to build set that I thought They should have put together. It is fun. I did not get first Lionel until 1958and those O gauge sets were beyond my parents mean. My first electric train was a Marx in 1956.

I for one am not sure why Lionel chose to or not to do it that way. Either way, all 3 of those locomotives were poor sellers, so it didn't seem to matter in the end.

I will say a B&O F-3 passenger set with the 2500 series cars would've been wonderful, mainly since the 2368 is my favorite F-3.
