I use tubular track, with 3 to 4 blocks for each main line.

There are plastic pins to block the current.

This will give you 3 to 4 separate zones of current.

I have never used Fastrack® • but ask your Lionel Dealer if they make insulators for

Fastrack®. If you have a small loop, just make two zones.

Hope this helps just a little.

This would be a set up for conventional engines only, if you have the new technology, like Lionel Legacy. You will need no blocks.

Cheers from Michigan

Fastrack has a 1 3/8 piece of track that has a break built into the center rail. That section of track has a wire underneath that connects both sides, if you remove the wire the track will isolate the power.

So once the wire is removed, you can add a simple on/off toggle switch and connect it to both sides of the isolated track. When the switch is in the on position current will flow and the train will run, when in the off position, current will not flow and the train will not run.

in order to run two trains you will need to isolate at least three sections of track, and of course you will need to connect power to each section.

I hope this helps. Rich
