I have received a number of suggestions as to how to fine tune accessory voltages on the electrical forum.  Thanks to all. Will advise which methods I use.  My current quandry is determining what use I can make of an Accessory voltage controller I bought

probable ten years ago and never used.  I downloaded the owners manual from Lionel and have read it several times.  I have found a number of questionable statements and important omissions in the manual as to how to install and operate this controller.  I have e-mailed my questions to Lionel with no response to this point.  No one on the electrical forum has mentioned any experience with this device. Am I the only sucker who ever paid over $100 for this paperweight?  IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO SUBSCRIBES TO THIS FORUM WHO KNOWS HOW THIS THING WORKS, PLEASE CONTACT ME.  Obviously this unit never gained much popularity since I have never seen one referenced in any post, and it seems to be the only TMCC accessory device which has not been the subject of a Utube video in Lionel's series.  It was shown in an overview of TMCC control devices, but is the only device which was never made the subject of a video.   Please help if you can.

The AVC lets you program multiple voltages, but only one at a time, since it has a single output.  I agree that I could never see the utility.  You can pick up the little 30-40 watt transformers for $5 many times, a bank of those would make more sense and you'd have multiple voltages continuously available.   The old Lionel transformers like the type V or Z that have four variable outputs also work well.
