Jim, Bob, and Jerry, thanks.  When you're around someone almost every day for 25 years you lose sight of things.  I realized a couple of weeks ago that Nancy had been suffering for quite some time, but being around it every day I lost sight of how much suffering she was truly going thru.  These last 3 years were **** for her and I'm sure she's in a better place now.  I do miss her so much.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Happy to report my E7 is back on duty.

The only part I had to replace was the yoke with the metal "barrel".  But to do that I had to take apart the part 3rd Rail sent and put the "barrel" in the correct piece I needed.  To do that I heated the yoke in a cup of water in the microwave for 1 minute so I could pop the "barrel" in place without damaging the hole in the yoke.

The engine now runs quietly up thru 75 speed steps, before I could barely get up to 50 before I heard chattering.  I don't run faster than what 75 steps will produce so that's fine for me.

Glad to hear it! You, sir, are one of the good guys, and I wish nothing but the best for you in the future.
