Has anyone made them in O gauge?  Like this:

I bought a single MTH RailKing one yesterday and like it behind my GP38-2.  I have 2 more of these locomotives, and want to do a long unitish like train with the 3 locomotives and a long string of the spline TTUX piggybacks I already have and spline intermodals in either 3 or 5 unit sets along with some single units sprinkled in.   But I can't seem to find any info on them being made when I thought I had for sure seen them in a catalog a few years ago.

Those are not husky stacks.  Husky stacks are single-well (either 48ft or 53ft) well cars made by Greenbrier/Gunderson that will also accept highway trailers

Those are Maxi-Is, also by Greenbrier.  No they have not been made by a manufacturer, not even in brass

First off I am quite prototypically challenged. I can tell a box car from a flat or container car, but that's about it. I have no idea if this is what you are looking for, but they are somewhat similar as far as transporting containers. MTH has made a few sets of container cars in the last few years. I think they had 2, 3 & 5 car sets. They were offered in both Railking and Premier in one type or another. They don't match your sample photo exactly, but carry containers. If close is good enough then look at MTH's catalogs over the last 3-4 years. If you want an exact match then I defer to the others that have already posted to this thread saying they don't yet exist.

Well, the OP showed us a clear photo and asked if these have been made in O scale.  The answer is an emphatic "no", but MTH and Atlas have made other well cars.  PRB, in fact, made a very good model of the competitor to the above prototype photo, the Thrall Lo-Pac.  MTH and Atlas made a model of the pre-cursor to the prototype, similar but with bulkheads on either end of each car.

From there, you can find other well car offerings in O-gauge which are further and further from what he asked about.

Sigh.

What I bought was 30-76597, it's called a Husky Stack car.  It looks like a single unit of what I posted in the photo.  If I don't see the nuances that differentiate different manufactures, I'm sorry.  As for spline, it's an engineering term used for straight bits that pivot at their connecting location, which describe the rail cars, even if it's not the term the railroads use.  Perhaps articulated is the correct railroad term as noted above.

So, if no one has made in O gauge what I showed in the image, that is a pity, as I like them.  UP runs a lot of them between Phoenix and Tucson, so I see them a lot.

Since my posting, I found this video while looking on YouTube at trains with my 2 year old son.  There is an example of something close at the 2 min mark.  Does anyone know what those are?  They'd be good enough for me to fill my desire.  Thanks.

There are spine cars which are cars without the wide body, just the center frame spine and a couple of wheel ramps at one end. There are various types of well cars both single stand alone and articulated with different configurations of units.  A good book for an overview of early era to late 1990's era intermodal equipment is " The model railroader's guide to intermodal equipment and operations" by Jeff Wilson.......DaveB

Sinclair.  To avoid getting caught up in using the correct vernacular, I think what you want are various versions of intermodal cars.  I would suggest going to Ebay, into the O Gauge train section and perform separate searches on "Intermodal", "Husky", "Spine", and "Container".  You'll get lots of returns and from there  you will be able to find what you're looking for.  You may want to take notice of the rolling stock being scale-sized or traditional-sized.  With the exception of MTH's RailKing models, their Husky and Spine cars are scale-size.  For Lionel, I know only that their Husky stacks are scale-sized.  I believe all of the Atlas are scale-size.   If you decide to purchase, intermodal cars come up occasionally on the For Sale board here.    Hope this helps.

Nice, I like those.  What is the min curve on those?

Do you have part numbers for any of the Atlas or MTH cars you listed?

MTH has a good search feature on their product locator page.  You can search the Premier line for Twin Stacks or Husky Stacks and get several pages of results.

Atlas likes to hide their past products from potential customers so they don't have a functional search feature to their web site.

Atlas have made half a dozen production runs of Gunderson Twin Stacks.  Change the last digit for the 3rd and following runs.

Only one production run of Maxi IVs has been announced by Atlas so far.

Andrew, are you referring to this?  Because this is a prototype from Gunderson's competitor at the time, Thrall.  I don't think k-line made any gunderson articulateds.

Bachmann could have the Gunderson 40' well cars produced as articulated cars if they were prompted by high demand.

The Gunderson double-stack cars that were produced for MDK K-Line in China could be made articulated. They were not offered as articulated cars, but the sides and ends were designed like the Gunderson Maxi-Stack articulated cars, not the Husky-Stack or Gunderson All Purpose Well Cars. It would be much easier to make the K-Line Gunderson well-car into an articulated car then the MTH Husky-Stack well cars.

If anyone is interested I have quite a few of the end pieces male and female to make articulated sets 3-4-5 car sets of the above, email is in my profile.

I would be, but then I'd need these cars too.  Who made them and what are the catalog numbers?

The K-Line Gunderson Well Car was a single 40' well that is for a MAXI-STACK 5-unit articulated car. They labeled it like a Husky-Stack car with a 48' well, even though the longest container it can carry in the well is a 40' container.

Bachmann can produce a MAXI-STACK, 40' well, 5-unit, articulated car if they connected these wells like the Thrall Car well cars.
