5.0 loader cant find TIU on computer? help?

hi guys,  well,  I uploaded the new 5.0 loader and programs from the site. all that seems to be good, I have the older TIU so I have the serial port.  I have a new cable. updated the software for windows 10. tested connection, its ok.   when selecting the auto find for the TIU, it scrolls and says its having a hard time finding TIU.

 

any suggestions?  I tried cycling power, different USB ports, I still cant get a connection.  I'm baffled!
