Here are a few of my shots. Forum member Eddiem and two of my club are waving on the upper level.

Thank you again for the fine hospitality of the NJHR.SAM_5616

... and here's Don, who we were waving at!

The Boothe Memorial Railway Society from Stratford CT says, "Thank you for another great Trainstock!" to our NJHR buddies... although the 3 hour ride home (usually 1 hour 20mins) was not much fun!

This was the first time I noticed the Munoz Pumps factory on the layout.  Is this one of the structures off of Elliot's former Munoz Lines or is it an homage to his former layout?

There are about 12 structures on our layout that were originally on Elliots' Munoz line  We purchased them from him when he dismantled it to build a narrow gauge layout  Since he ave up on narrow gauge and is reconstructing the Munoz line I tried selling them back to him yesterday but he didnt appreciate that I was charging him double the price we paid.

I would like to thank the NJHR for a great afternoon we all enjoyed the visit that we seem to make every other year. We had a full mini van (well we might have slipped one more in) this year, usually it's me my wife and grand daughter Cassie (which pulled the raffle ticket, not Carrie - maybe someone can't read someone's writting); this year my son David and his son Robby and a family friend Tom which I have been trying to get there for years joined us. Tom said he will be back with his camera. David's hobby is Civil War and is a Civil War Rein actor and was looking for info on the person he portrays (which was killed in Paterson after the war) and came home with other info on Paterson and it's connections to the Civil War.

As always, again, we had a good time and look forward to our next visit. I always enjoy seeing and talking to my friends from the forum.

Wow great you got pics of me and my girls. We had a great time this is the sixth round for me and the girls had a blast. They were on thier best behavior and really enjoyed themselves. I was convinced it would be a short visit but they wanted to stay to the end. It is so nice to see so many faces from the forum and Vinnies food crew always is wonderful.

Merrill even showed me the full layout from the control area. Thank you for a wonderful time NJ Hirailers!

After we left we visited the Patterson Locomotive Works built Steam Engines at the Patterson Museum and then visited the Great Falls there downtown that was the source of much early Industrialization power. We had some great Middle Eastern food for dinner. IMG_8796IMG_8816

Hi Ben et al.

Kathie and I had a fabulous time at TS9. This was our seventh visit and it gets better each year! Vinny and his assistants, as always, provided a great meal. Great trains, great people and great food. How can you beat that!

Here are some of our photos. (Unfortunately, many of ours didn't come out nearly as good as some of the other posters' photos.)

See you next year.

Chris

I looked for any pics to see if Mike Wolf was there. I think he's a regular? (so maybe he was away....)

As I'm typing this it also occurred to me to ask if Mike Reagan has been to any of these? Rest of Lionel's staff?

I know he's on a different path now, but I really do admire his work and wish him well.

How about the Atlas staff? Etc.

None of this lessens this event from being a great thing. I just know that good people doing things like this attract more good people!

Congrats to all that got the chance to be there.

Mike Wolf was at three of these.  Mike Regan has been to the club a few times but not to a Trainstock.  As for the other Lionel staff we have had a number of them on many occasions visit the club including Neil Young, Jerry Calabrese, Dick Kughn, Dick Maddox and a few of the current staff.

You're probably right Ben, but I need to keep that area clean for train purchases.  Besides, the bags fit quite nicely in the dumpster next to my car!

Question:  How much food and drink did it take to host Trainstock 9?  Judging by the photos, the attendees certainly appear to be a well-fed group.

A breakdown of the food and drink prepped and consumed would be an interesting factoid IMHO.

I have to defer to Vinny on that   I am pretty sure nobody went home hungry or thirsty
