A nurse I have worked with the last 30 years just retired and found some trains in her garage. They need a lot of work, but there are a few nice PostWar pieces here.....
Very thoughtful to be sure.

Peter, that is a good score. When I was a kid I loved those passenger cars. When are you going to be in my area again for a visit? I have a space on my wall for you to sign.
Thank you, everyone....for your kind words.....
Marty......funny you should ask.....I have a course at the Copley from April 12-17. I emailed Chris last week and when I finalize my travel plans, he was going to get in touch and coordinate something......
I am looking forward to being a Bronx boy in Red Sox country!
I always love the meeting at the Copley....
Peter

Cool.............
The 6112 white gondola is a hard one to find. The freight cars look like they came from Lionel set 1571/726 -1957, it was led by 625 Lehigh Valley 44 tonner. Nice gift!

Might want to bring your snow shoes, might still have snow then! My son goes to school just up the road a bit, and it is a mess even now...
Rehab, phase I
I cleaned them up with warm soapy water....dirt is gone....a little rust remains.....the rust gives it character (I've been watching too much HGTV)...
Upcoming plans:
1. Look for an LV 44 tonner at York.
2. Look for a 6017 caboose at York.
3. New pipes. New cars and wheels for 6424. New canisters for 6112.
Peter
Peter,
Looks great!
You are on the right track...
Tom
