Jim,

The school should remind you of the Flyer station, that is the basis for the building! Just reconfigured some tools and viola! new O gauge building, fits really well on an inside corner to add some interest! (and fill up otherwise dead space).

HIRAILSTEVE, The lineside details are made of polyurethane resin, factory painted and decorated. The ones we will have at the booth are our 3D printed versions, but it will allow folks to see the detail and understand the scale of them (yes, they are 1/48th scale (1/4" to the foot)).

Thanks,
Mike

Do you think the VL GG-1s will hit the US before January 1st, 2017?  The picture looks great.  Can't wait to see it in person.

I hope for the sake of enthusiasts who pre-ordered one of these GG1's, that the possibility of a Christmas arrival is still possible.  However -- assuming normal shipping channels -- that would probably imply they've already been manufactured in late-September and already getting ready to be shipped on the water today.  (I'm using the recent Daylight GS-4's as an example, which just arrived in consumers' hands in late-September, and their shipping boxes had a late-June date-of-manufacture.)

The current Lionel shipping schedule is now showing a January 2017 ship-date, which could imply a late-January arrival in the US.  That would be consistent with Charlie Ro's updated ETA of 2/10/2017 at their store.

But perhaps Mike can shed more light on the actual VisionLine offering, and where it currently sits within the overseas factory.

Great stuff to display. Thanks for sharing Mike.

In Looking at the CV Mogul, it seems a bit different from the catalog illustration. I am thinking that the sample you are showing us has the headlight somewhat higher on the boiler front than the catalog illustration or the prototype. Your photo as shared with us above and a photo of 397 on the CV about 1935 are posted here to illustrate. Is it possible to adjust that headlight position ever so slightly. It should be offset on the boiler front but the top of the headlight housing should be below the boiler height.

397 as shown above.

BobbyD, no more glossy finishes!

BoilerMaker1, We are expecting Pre-production F40PH locos this week. If they arrive in time we will have them at the show, timing will be everything with these samples! With the vast number of samples we have to show off, there will be no shortage of cool stuff to preview! I am hoping they show up in time!

Mike

So, unfortunately our F40PH samples did not arrive in time for us to take them to York. However, they arrived yesterday and we thought we'd share some photos with you! Please let us know what you think! We are quite impressed with these models. They look fantastic and they run even better!

Thanks,
Mike

Looking great! Each model looks true to the original. I actually have the Amtrak #364 version on order. Can't wait to get it!! I'm looking forward to running it around the Christmas tree if it arrives by then.
