I traveled to Wichita for my daughter's wedding which occurred on April 18th. During the rehearsal dinner the evening prior, i spotted this SP "survivor in a consist on the elevated trackage that now travels through downtown Wichita.
I'll throw in a few other pix from the same evening; the tracks were full on this Friday evening.

Can't quite decipher the route of ownership the blue CN/IC locomotive took. Was it a Conrail unit at some point?
Mark: I checked my "full-size" photo on my computer, but can't really give you a definitive answer. I would certainly believe that could have been "Conrail blue" at some point in its career.......
According to this website, it is a former lease fleet locomotive. Before that, the site doesn't say, but most likely CN is the third owner.
You hardly ever see anything in SP colors on the West Coast anymore. Good catch and great photos.
