Many of you may have been following Elliot's adventures with his "Dreamnightmare Layout." This week I was fortunate to meet him, see the layout, and enjoy his company during a fantastic tour of Twin Cities railroading. Elliot is one fantastic and friendly fellow. He bemoans his relative isolation from "mainstream O-gauge Railroading," but I assure you, If you venture to the Twin cities area, be sure to look him up. (Contact info. in his profile.) Also met Mill Cities, and along with my friend Mike the four of us had great railroading and great food.
Words cannot describe his layout in progress. I'll just list some: over 2,000 square feet, TWO helixes, lots of main lines, lots of yards, hidden trackage, camera on the hidden areas, 4 viewing video screens, TMCC operation, and many more. But, here's some photos.
I have movies as well, but they will have to wait until I get a high-speed connection at home. Tried to upload one this AM and the "hot spot" is way too slow.
