I 'm quite sure this has been covered before, but looking at my group of Atlas O GP35s, I thought once again it would be nice to have lighted number boards on these engines (and again being surprised that they didn't come with lighted boards!). I'd like to hear from anyone who's installed number board lights, and how they went about it.

I just did it to a GP-35.  I used some small GOW 12V bulbs, I wired them in series to track power.  I like the incandescent bulbs for the number boards as they spread the light better than an LED up that close.  The ones I used are rated at 40ma, so they don't get too hot, and I just used a spot of hot glue to stick them in.  If you have higher power bulbs, use the 18V bulbs wired in series on track power, they light plenty bright for the number boards.

Note that I run strictly command, if you run conventional, you may take a different tack.
