This is probably an easy fix but have become frustrated trying to figure it out. I only have one TIU and one AIU involved.  My accessories will not "add" into the port that I have them hooked up to.  I tried doing it in "ACC1" and it loaded it into #9 with the other ones going into #10, etc and eventually not showing up at all.

I thought that I tried to reset the entire system but may not be doing it right.  As a "Christmas time only" set up, I struggle with it at times but know an expert will be able to fix it quickly.  THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

Barry,

On the remote, I went to ACC, then hit "Set up" (S/U), "Add Accessory", TIU 1, AIU 1, ACC 1, then typed in defining name of accessory.  When I exit out, it was loaded into #9 on the remote.  When I tried to add additional accessories they subesequently loaded into #10, 11, etc.   Then when I powered down the remote, the accessories were deleted from the remote screen.

When I tried to add additional accessories they subesequently loaded into #10, 11, etc.

Accessories always go into the list in the order in which they were added, not according to which TIU, AIU or ACC port to which they're wired.

Then when I powered down the remote, the accessories were deleted from the remote screen.

Did you exit out normally after thy accessories were each saved? Here's how you should add accessories:

Programming Accessories Into the DCS Remote

  • To add each accessory or accessory function as connected above to the DCS Remote, proceed as follows:
  • Press the Menu key on the DCS Remote, use the thumbwheel to scroll to SYSTEM and press the thumbwheel to select the SYSTEM menu.
  • Use the thumbwheel to scroll to ACCESSORY SETUP and press the thumbwheel to select it.
  • Use the thumbwheel to scroll to ADD ACCESSORY and press the thumbwheel to select it.
  • A list of available TIUs is displayed. Use the thumbwheel to scroll to the TIU that's connected to the AIU where you connected the accessory and press the thumbwheel to select it.
  • Use the thumbwheel to scroll to the AIU where you connected the accessory and press the thumbwheel to select it.
  • Use the thumbwheel to scroll to the ACC port where you connected the accessory and press the thumbwheel to select it.
  • Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the name of the accessory. For accessories with multiple functions, choose names that identify both the accessory and the function. Scroll the thumbwheel to each character in the name and press the thumbwheel to add the character. Press the < key to remove an erroneous character. Scroll to D on the right-end of the bottom row of the keyboard and press the thumbwheel to save the accessory's name, and to be returned to the ACCESSORY SETUP menu.
