Hello,

Attached are a couple of pix of my recently completed Ameri-Towne Flag Stop Station kitbash project.  New platform was made from basswood and the roof was covered in shake shingles.  Extra details such as lamp above doorway, smokejack, window shades, etc. where added.

Comments and critique are welcome...

Sometimes you look at a building and think..."nope, I have no use for that."  and then someone posts another picture of it and you think..."where has that been all my life?"

I just had one of those moments.  With a little tweak, that could be a scale house for my limestone quarry.  I assume the back wall is simply a blank wall with no window or door?

Had you not "dolled that kit up" and posted the photo, I would not have given it a second look...after all, I don't need a small depot.  But a small office or scale house?  Thanks for opening my eyes.

Thanks for all the feedback gentlemen!

I have to admit I have seen this kit a thousand times and never really gave it much thought or opportunity, but glad I did.  With a little work it can look pretty good.

I do like the idea of converting one of these kits into a 1920's gas station.  Maybe that will show up in one of my future posts...
