As a garden railroader in addition to my love of O gauge, I am excited to see this new forum!
I have an older LGB articulated steam engine (was Unitah) that has been taken apart and I do not know how to put it back together. A person had told me he could clean the engine and install TAS TMCC and took it apart then decided he did not know what to do with it.
Help!

I too am looking for someone to repair older LGB. it seems that repairs are dictated by the part availability due to LGB's multiple bankruptcies Causing a parts shortage.
Gentlemen:
I would suggest giving Chris Gantz from Nicholas Smith Trains a call. I found him VERY helpful when I had my LGB collection; he may be able to point you in the right direction.

This gentleman is from Germany and has a nice operation for repairs.
