I have to ask: please name a few.

Any reproduction adds value to an original by recognition alone. Maybe noticed by a new generation, and popularity cycles again. The original is seldom the loser.

There are multiple reasons for my choices.

Some are copies, or are copied, in more way than one. (or 3, or 4 have fun)

With the exception of when its the same company doing the reissuing, that would be true.

With Lionel however, everyone knows nearly everything in its repetitive product line has been reissued and improved upon ad nauseam over the past 45 years.

IMO, PW era accumulators are living in a dream world if they can still phych themselves into believing they're hanging on to something unique & special when those once unique items to future generations have been downgraded to a first edition.

I do have a few pieces, I did not run by choice. These are my 1906-1907 Lionel Std Gauge which are on shelves behind UV Glass. Most of my remaining pieces date 1910-1934. I'm trying to complete my collection of prewar Lionel boxed sets.

God Bless,

Pappy,

I'd be very curious to see your 1906-1907 Lionel STDG... Trolleys? #5 loco? 1907 is very early for STDG.

Nice that you have such early stuff to enjoy.

Bert
