Anyone live near a Menards and is willing to do me a favor?

found on ebay but dang they almost want double one is $70 over retail plus shipping the other is $80 over retail + shipping 

I can do it, Paul. I am heading in to the city some time this week and Menards is on the hit parade for the day.

 

Oh bummer, nix that... special order at all Menards in SD and NE.

 

I will inquire at the store and let you know. I did see one in stock last week.

Checked 6 Menard's in Northwest Indiana, all special orders, sorry none available for local in store purchase.

Thanks, Matt, Ted, and John. I don't want anyone to go out of their way, so if you're able to find one please update this post as to keep everyone informed. But, if more than one of you get one I'd reimburse both of you for the cost of the building and shipping, and if you need reimbursement for gas, time, etc. Just let me know how much you want so as there's no surprises. We have about 12-15 Menards close by and all of them are Special Order too

But if I remember when it first came out the menards closest to me had a couple but not no mo eh

I have checked two Menards, with one to go...but note, MicroMark has the very similar

Dill's pickle plant as a KIT!, that I would almost be tempted to get, too, to keep my

cannery supplied.  IF you can't track a Menards one down...there is a fallback..

    We need a Menard's store in the Pittsburgh, Pa area, the old Wilkinstownship Sears building is available, how about a new Menard's store in our area ASAP.  Love to be able to walk into a Menard's store in our home town area.

Paul, bad news...

 

I was in Menards yesterday and the special order gal had to give me the bad news.

 

Regardless of what the website says about "in store only" and "special order only" this item is not available in store or by in store special order at all. She showed me her screen interface and it clearly said "this item is no longer available".

I saw one at my Mennards just last week.

I was in one yesterday and nada and the websites tell me none of the stores in my are have any

I tried to buy one 2 weeks ago...

Wow, too bad Paul. Had both the Burned Engine House and the Sauerkraut building, intended to sell them both at cost plus shipping for those who couldn't get one. Posted the Burned Engine House in the for sale forum with a humorous note about not for e#@y resale. Received two "smart___" replies fairly quickly so we solved the problem and returned them to the store. 

Guessing someone picked them up as our store has no building now!

Hi Paul,

I just picked up the last one available at the Massillon, Ohio store. It was on display, no plastic box, that was gone. It is just like new and I know the lights work for sure.

Spoke with the manager of the toy dept. hoping to get 10% off for display model, but when they looked up on the PC their inventory to see if one was in the back, they saw all have been sold. Then they saw "this item is not available for order" and refused any sort of discount for display/no box, so I had to pay retail price. (Ok with me).

Last week I checked the Ontario, Ohio store and they had none. My suggestion would be to call some of the stores, ask for the toy dept. and see if there is one on display. The display model did not show up on the PC inventory as I was watching the screen.

Menards advertises they will " ship anything in our store" which from past experience will run you about $11.00. Hope you can find one, best wishes.
