Rock, I'd definitely like to see your pictures, can anybody give him some pointers on how to upload pics to a topic posting.

To add pictures, first you need an album in your computer or I phone or other similar electronic device. When starting a post, it's easier if you type the body first. Then look under the post body, and there is a green cross with the words Add Attachments highlighted in blue. When you click on the prompt, it will take you to you photo albums. Select the album you want to open, and scroll through the photos until you find the one you want to add. double click the photo, and the up load will begin. to ad additional photos, click the select photo button again. You can add several photos, but there is a limit.

I hope this is helpful, if not, any kid over the age of two can do it!

Intelligence and experience are two different things. Its not like the icons of today are intuitive (junk graphics ).

I think he was joking in amazement at how advanced kids today can be on a computer/phone.

Till we beat the latter, one work-around would be post the pictures in a new stand alone thread, and supply links between them.. Not ideal, but it gets the info online till the rest of the tech. can be worked out.

I've had people comment about copy/paste and insert image on the hoopla tool bar working from a phone(one, the other, both???).

My PC can't do that, so finding out "if", you're on your own again.

I just know the photo will load different, and can't be clicked on to enlarge, or opened in a new window like normal. If it is "too small" to see well, for any reason, it has to be downloaded by the reader to enlarge it in another program. (I never have checked the file extension on one. That might explain the difference.)

What phone app? Maybe someone here has one and knows?

Here are some more photos of the outdoor suspended layout:

Some of the photos show the tunnel in and out of the shop where the two track staging yard is, above the tool cabinets. Several are of the steel and wood bridges. Some show the track on the shelving, and also the wiring lugs, switch controls and power source. There are a few photos showing the glass enclosed staging yard, and the glass on the front side to keep the elements out.

I cleaned the layout last week for some train time, but I have to get the compressor out again for some major dust removal. You think dust inside is bad, well, you can see from many of the photos how it is outside! The styrofoam from the portal and plug to close the tunnel are another PITA (Pain In The A--). The plug is a snug fit to keep dust and critters out of the shop, that foam rubs off a bit.

Can't see the photos.  Better call that kid over to see what's up! Chevelle17

Better go beat on that 2 yr olds door.... Rockinmarine

This is the first time photos I posted could not be viewed. I'll re post after church. I wish I knew how to retrieve photos I posted on another forum, I documented every step building the layout, but that was on a different computer. Maybe the two year old can do it!

Not showing for me. Try deleting the above first, repeating, but putting them in a new reply.

Check they are jpg ending. and that they aren't compressed files also.

For copying your old stuff online, in Windows/IE go to any pic online. Right click and choose "save picture as", rename it & save.

If you have to be a member to see them, you might have to rejoin.

"The Edge" is the new MS browser with W-10. It has a bunch of screen capture toys I haven't used yet, but likely right click would still work those options.

FF has something similar to IE but I don't know where to find it right now.

There is always "the way back machine", a site that saves......literally everything old it can. Search by date.
