Clem,

Your layout was so much fun to run on. When I was at your home I ran my GS64 for hours.

I have never run the grease out of a locomotive gear box before.... first for everything.

I hope my layout rebuild will provide as much fun as your layout did that evening...

I had a 2 story detached garage built a few years ago.  Right from the start the second floor was going to be my train room.  To get long straight sections and wide curves, I planned for an around-the-room layout.  I talked to the architect to make sure that the stairs would be located away from any wall so there would be no interference with the layout.  The room is about 28' x 26'.  I have 2 level Mianne benchwork running around the room.  The upper level will be G gauge and the lower level will be O gauge.  I am making v-e-r-y  s-l-o-w progress on getting the O gauge track and wiring completed.  After that I will tackle the G gauge level.
