Photos from the day, Thursday April 9, as the National Capital Trackers held a display in the AFRH Community Room. Lots of fun meeting with the Vets, thanking them for their service, and talking trains. They treated us to a great lunch, too!
A very kind gesture by the National Capital Trackers. Three cheers for them. May they be blessed for their kindness. Seniors that typically live in these nursing homes are either ill, suffer from mobility issues or advanced age. Many do not have very much and live with just a bit more than the bare necessities. We should remember how we treat elderly and less fortunate people, because we will be treated the same way one day!
Thank you and the Capital Trackers for taking the time display your layout at the home. I am sure that all the vets enjoyed it. I really enjoyed seeing the figures of the soldiers and sailers. The Capital Trackers are a terrific model railroad group.
