This is a 2 for 1 "How To" video, but each conversion has nothing to do with the other. I had it apart, and was doing both conversions, so why not shoot a video at the same time.

 

The LED conversion uses the board that GunRunnerJohn designed. I had my own LED strips already, and I don't mind doing some soldering.

 

The Kadee conversion addresses the issue of the Atlas mounting holes not being a perfect match for the Kadee mounting holes.

Good video!

 

I'm in agreement with you about lights in engine cabs and cabooses, even passenger cars, at least the bright lights we all see in most cars these day.  I do have 2 Weaver Pullman Bradley cars that have really nice, subdued lighting.

 

I've pulled out all the lighting in my passenger cars other than the 3 MTH Premier Seaboard cars I have because I'm still thinking about selling them off.

 

I have over a dozen passenger cars that need lighting, interiors and peeps to occupy the seats, that's going to cost a fortune
