Atlas California Zephyr Sleeper Lounge Dome Observation review in photos

I am in the process of doing a couple things at once like feeding the baby. o
Once I get this done I will add more photos; I think the cars are fantastic

They are and its one of those "I must collect one of each"!

 

 

Excellent job by Atlas on these cars,hopefully the last 2 cars will arrive by years end to complete a long running but superb project.

Guys I am so thrilled these images can bring you closer to this car. I am eager to put together a full consist behind my PA's - .. Which ones? 4 stripe or Aspen nose... Er or F7's in Bumblebee.... Uh E8/9's in Burlington.. Oh my the years awaiting this day have been on my mind!

The second run of the unlettered dome cars was also missing this part. I ordered some through a dealer and they told me the the part # is CZ0009. I guess you can order it from Atlas over the phone, since it's not listed on their spare parts site.

Someone has to tuck that coupler in though!

Brown just delivered my CZ Silver Sky today, I noticed the (2) holes where the cut lever should attach, should the lever come with the car? I looked inside the box and didn't see one anywhere.

If it's a 2 rail car, both coupler cut bars should come with the car. Looks like there are some inconsistencies in this regard with this car. You also might wanna paint the window gasket on the rear window, it should be black not silver I would contact your dealer so he can ask Atlas for the parts.

Here is my Silver Sky! I was happy to see that the drum and back lights are independent of the interior lighting.

 

Those are Atlas??!!  They are out to outdo their reefer series.  Those are nice.  I see

two roadnames  cars pictured, did the Western Pacific also have one (or more?) of that

domed observation?

I just ordered 100 seated people from China via Ebay to help fill up the domes. we will have to see how they look.
