 hello all,

I just purchased a Atlas O gauge turntable for my future layout. Can you please tell me what you think of this turntable. I understand it is out of production and would like to know where I can get spare parts for it.Also, can you tell me if it is better to run it with a DC power pack or a rectifier with a ZW.my used one did not come with a rectifier. Can you tell me what kind to use for it if I go that direction.

Much thanks, Jerry

I have an Atlas #6910 turntable on my not yet completed layout. It may not look as nice as the $1,000 turntables, but it works just fine. I power it with a 12 volt DC wall wart. I purchased some rubber O rings to replace the cheap belts that came with the unit. other than that, I'm quite happy with the Atlas turntable.

I don't have one, but many have given it good ratings. Atlas makes a good product and has a good reputation for doing so. As someone else said, it is not a mega expensive with all the bells and whistles unit as some are, but it is a good value for it's price. Not sure it is out of production either, as it is still listed in there recently released 2015 catalog. Atlas is also very good about having available parts for their products. You should be able to call them and get parts for your turntable if needed.
