i had to give one of these a shot for $8.95 i did the added step of adding foamboard for structural rigidity. if not for that i would have made a paper airplane out of this thing. all in all , it is a cool looking little building , but i found the cardstock a bit fiddly to work with. im not sure if i would do more, maybe limited stuff.

I have sampled a Clever Models structure and printed it on card stock then glued it to artists illustration board and cut it accordingly. Glued 1/4" sq. poplar stock in the corners, ends, and top for rigidity. The result was good but much different than my scratch built buildings so I stuck with my method. For the model railroader who wants to build a structure in an evening or two and wants , detail with economy, the pre-printed models work real well. My preference is to use stuff like this only for false fronts. My advise to anyone building g there models is to spray then with flat clear coat after you assemble them. Cardstock printed on a home printer unit is not waterproof. The application of clearcoat seals and makes the model water resistant but it must be applied in light multiple coats. Apply it too heavy and the ink smears
Yes, the solvent in the clearcoat will melt the printer ink and smear it. I spray for about 18 inches away, and lightly, multuple coats. That keeps in flatter anyway.
