I try to attend a bandit meet every year, and this October I made it down to the Wyndham on Wednesday.  I heard several of the sellers say that the meet was off to a bad start and am guessing there were not alot of sales though I did see people walking around.  I felt like many tables were priced to sell though there are always a few with unrealistic prices that seem to enjoy packing up their stuff every year.

There were still lots of tables out there so plenty of selection but I am hoping that there are buyers year after year to keep this going.  If they open the TCA meet to the public then I might try to attend that also.  I did just send a friend with a young son into the hobby some info on the upcoming local Greenberg show, but not sure how many young folks will be interested in picking up this hobby.

Well, I passed up something in the Sherman Rd. meet I should have bought, that was the greatest item of interest to me in the town.  I am glad Sherman Rd. moved over from way over on the east side, but miss the "Days Inn" display, and the size and scope of alll the others.  Things seem to be down sized, except when you show up for parking on Thursday morning on the fairgrounds....this time it seemed there were more cars there earlier than ever before. If this is a dying hobby, who is parking all those cars there?  Wonder what the attendance count will be?
