I've said it before and I've said it again, the days of starter sets with the conventional CW80 or Powermax transformer are numbered.
It is interesting that BassPro is running this same train again now after so many years -- obviously with the new LionChief this year, but beyond that, appears to be the same train as in previous years. It must sell well enough to keep bringing it back. No doubt actually having one set up that runs helps their sales. If only more stores could do the same.
Wow! It comes with two Tony Sweater 1:64 scale race cars. Oh boy, I love girls in tony sweaters, wish they showed some models.
I guess the photo needs to be updated to show the proper consist that comes with the train.
