depends on what time you leave from brooklyn,

figure about 45 minutes to 1 hour to hit jersey,

about 2 hours on 78 west in jersey to hit pa,

option 1- 78 west to exit 29, route 61 south to route 222 south to route 30 west to york.

option 2- 78 west to 81 south to 83 south to york.

either way you are looking at 4-5 hours, police are out and about in full force for speeding and agressive drivers, also DO NOT speed into a construction zone, they are nailing EVERYONE that does.

they don't bother with me doing 66-67 in my 18 wheeler

option 1 has road construction on 78 west at mm 44 to 42, route 61 south at route 222.

option 2 has road construction on 78 west at mm 44 to 42, I83 interchange with route 581 just west of harrisburg where I83 heads south to york.

Try to stay out of Philadelphia because of the traffic and possibility of missing your exit.

Don't know the area that well anymore near New York but I-83 should take you from southern New York state right into York PA.

Depends on whether it's cash or E-ZPass, and what state/authority issued the E-ZPass. Cash is $15 for the Verrazano, $10.66 E-ZPass (though I think I get dinged for the cash toll because my pass was issued by Maryland). Collected westbound only.

Outerbridge/Goethals are $13 cash, and $9 or $11 E-ZPass, off-peak and peak. Collected eastbound only. All the above are for passenger cars.

Plus there is a bridge toll to get out of NJ into PA.

As my bumper sticker reads 'Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.'

I use to live on Staten Island nd now live in New Jersey close to the outerbridge and rt440.

When I go to york I always go the route arthur and blue line go.

I actually get on the NJ turnpike at exit 9 and left at 5:30 am and arrived at the yellow hall at 741:am.

Forget about taking 1-78 and heading to harrisburg….3 and a half hours????

forget about it.
