Absolutely fantastic work.  Can you re-use the patterns or are they one and done after a casting?  Are all the little details resin castings also?

Yes , I did re-use the molds ,depending on various factors you get so many pours of resin into the mold . Certain molds I no longer have . I made buildings for 18 yrs , these were made over 10-15 yrs ago . I still have some city building molds and also the roof vent pieces are also castings .

They are perfect!   What do you use to construct them?????

Gene , these are all resin cast from silicone molds , I made masters and then some of the pieces were designed so they could be cut and used in different buildings ,plus all the windows are laser cut material with adhesive back to stick right on clear plastic , no messy glue oozing out from under the frame.

I made a couple hundred different buildings over 20 yrs . Scattered all over the USA , a lot of them are at the NJHIGHRAILERS in NJ .

Thanks all for the comments . In my opinion , scenery and structures creates a layout rather than $2000 engines . You create a stage for your trains to perform on . I recently visited a 2 rail layout with incredible track work , bench work , hundreds of thousands in the most accurate loco's , cars , brass etc. the finest you could want , and the scenery was , well................ , let's say , rushed and not anywhere as good as it should have been for such a stable of fine trains .

Scenery and buildings are labor intensive , if you do not do it yourself it will cost a lot of money , you get what you pay for . For say $10,000 as a budget , you  could have a super layout and run any train thru it , versus 5 or 6 locos on a sheet of plywood with some out of the box buildings and you are looking at it and not really sure why your layout is not keeping your interests .Beautifully created scenery will make any era of train model look better .

This was a scale back in the day , guys built everything .

I made these for many people because they wanted their layout to stand out , if you notice all railroads practically have the same buildings in magazines , personally I would rather spend 70% of my $$ and time on the railroad the trains will run on .

As has been quoted "the difference is in the details" ,

Just my 2 cents .
