Uh-uh, nope, not Bilt-Rite cardboard buildings I used on my childhood layout, and found larger versions later. I have mentioned finding old obscure kits and building them, but there are new, current kitbuilders that never get advertised

and show only up in a few shows.  One of those shows is the Narrow Gauge Convention, an annual meet that moves around

the country, last meeting in Kansas City. Not sure where 2015 meet will be?  One of my towns is called Arsenic Springs,

so drinking water has to be piped down from the mountains.  Built-Rite, out of Branson, Mo. had the open top wooden

water tower I envisioned using.  When I got home from the meet, I lost that bag of found goodies including this tank

and another bag full of dirt cheap pre-WWII Matchbox trucks (the Diamond T stake bed, the IH pickup),  grain elevator cyclones, and other detail parts for structures. Also included were a couple of resin cast facades for western buildings, that I will build the other three walls for.  While working on the current model elevator today, I accidentally, months later,  found the bags. Very timely, as the cyclones and roof ventilators will be put to immediate use.   Built-Rite's flyer shows seven HO structures and 6 O scale ones, including a mining stamp mill, this and another tank,  and a couple of engine houses.

What structure kits have you found under the radar?
