Sometimes it would be nice to go back and see the photos I've posted, to avoid duplication. Is there any easy way to search this on the forum?

If not, I will set up an "OGR Posted" file on a jump drive and move photos to it after posting. But, I wanted to see if there was someway to see what has already been done.  Thanks for any advice.

Hi Bill,

Once photos are posted and go to the big Hoop.la server you have no more control over them. You can search for your old threads, but not specifically for the photos they contain.

For example, if you want to re-post a picture later in another thread, you can't retrieve it from a previous thread and paste it into the new one. You have to find the photo again on your computer and upload it again.

I started trying to keep track of which ones I posted like you suggested, but gave up. Luckily, most forumites don't seem to remember any more than I do which ones are repeats. I've never gotten any complaints.

We like to think our photos are memorable, I guess, but actually....!!!

Maybe, advanced searching and key wording, of this site only, using an outside search engine. Then, only use the image results

At one time, maybe still, there was an image matching search found in one of the common search engines(google?). I liked to play with it, just to see which images the computer thought looked similar. It could lead you to a lost thread, if you still had a copy of the photo.
