Re: cancelled... or not?

I was looking through the back LCT catalogs, and stumbled across the "Lionel Junior" 1700 (11-604n) sets. Being a yonder, I thought the Yellow set would pair well with an all black coal train under the tree. The MTH site says shipped in Aug 2012, but I cannot seem to find anything other that pre-orders.

We're these cancelled, or just all snapped up? I thought the MTH website had a designation for cancelled items.

Yes, they were all cancelled. I have a vintage red/chrome set somewhere I am going to liquidate soon.

It figures. Will put it on my virtual train shelf with the Orange and green 4Us I wanted.

I wish the website would just note the cancellation.

I don't need any originals unless maybe also in yellow. I will just repaint some 4 wheel passenger cars to be my "Latrobe to Canton Express"
