I just got my TCA National Headquarters News and see that a Charles Philips Sr from Harrisburg Pa passed away. Is that Charlie Philips that sold the Williams parts?

Yes Charlie Philips did pass.
That's to bad. I have known him a long time. I met him many years ago at York. The last time I saw him was two years ago in Pittsburgh at the Greenberg show. I can't remember. If he was at the Altoona Train Show this past October, I saw him there.
Oh, I feel so bad. Charlie and I were in the same bomb wing stationed at Yokoda AFB in Japan in 1951.
I'm very saddened to hear this news. Charlie was a wonderful person, full of fun, and had a keen sense of humor. He was a long-time fixture at York and was responsible for keeping the"Holiday Inn"bandit meet active. My thoughts and condolence to his family. I will certainly miss their presence at York in April.
Wow! That is really sad. Now what happened to the remaining Williams parts?
Wow .Too bad.. he was a fixture at the "Sheraton", or whatever the big hotel open show now is, and the guy who sponsored me into TCA. For that my sincere thanks to him, and condolences to his family. I might not have walked miles over the York fairgrounds and open shows but for him.

I'm sorry to read about Charlie's passing. My prayers and best regards to his family and friends.
He was a trusting guy, he would send me the parts and tell me to send a check when they arrive. Always had a friendly conversation when we talked.
I am very saddened by his passing. Charley and I liked to talk airplanes as well as trains and his experiences in the Air Force were fascinating.
His blood pressure would go up when he talked about the many quirks of the the bent wing B-47 versus the the KC-97 prop driven tanker.
Charley was one of the good guys who helped make our country great just by being who he was and the following the values he held.
