What are you looking for?
Traditional?
Command control?
Track & transformer included?
For example, I have this set that is in that price range:
Lionel 6-11707
I have a few 027 cars that I would donate to you.
Pretty much any used traditional equipment will fall in your price range.
Nicholas smith has a few sets under $200. Scout with 40 watt for $150, scout remote for $170, at+sf steam with 80 watt transformer and uncoupling for $173...all come with 40" x 60" fastrack

Hafner, Marx, Williams, and K-line are all gone, if you want new.
I have a Lionel 11736 Union Pacific Express Freight Set for $200.
Used is great, great deals to found here -- but on the $200 limit. M.B. Klein has this at $1 below your limit:

Probable not what you really want ... but still not a bad price!
(note: there are 2 others at slightly above $200, just search "lion chief")
If you want a variety for cheap, get secondhand GeoTrax. Close to O-gauge with realistic two-rail track, wireless remote control with sound, buildings and operating accessories included.
I got all this GeoTrax at a train show for $20, an impulse buy to familiarize myself with newer train toys. Just needed batteries to make it run.
I have a used 30-4120-1 Harley Davidson F-3 set- it was PS2 , now is conventional with a Z500 transformer- Looking for $100 plus shipping
email in profile
Thanks

Yep, I also bought two sets from Menards and they should be reappearing in stores real soon, however, PAIGETRAIN location is NC, so I posted the closest thing
Lionel sent me two illuminated caboose(s) as the ones included were not.
Amazon just dropped their PE price as well.
Good Morning, the above listing I posted a couple of weeks ago has a couple of sets you might be interested in. I want to move them so make me an offer.
