Hi Everyone,

As you may be aware, HSL's status as an Authorized Lionel Licensee has come to an end and we have until September 30th, 2014 to liquidate our existing Lionel digital archive inventory.  The response from OGR forum members has been terrific and I would like to thank everyone for your support of these efforts over the last 6-7 years.  It has been a pleasure bringing these products to you!

In an effort to move our remaining inventory, all items (except for one!) have been marked down 40-50%.  Here are some highlights of the closeout:

1)  Entire Lionel Consumer Catalog Digital Archive Series 1900-1995 for $100 (regularly $200) -- four volume set.  For about $1/year you will receive fully enhanced digital images of Lionel's iconic consumer catalogs -- fully indexed and searchable by engine and set names and numbers.  In total, this series contains approximately 275 catalogs, brochures, flyers, etc.  I can assure you many of the individual catalogs included in this archive cannot be purchased for less than the price of this entire archive!

2)  Entire Lionel Magazine Digital Archive Series 1930 - 2006 for $110 (regularly $220) -- five volume set.  If you are a fan of Lionel history, this series is for you!  The first volume of this series is of The Lionel Magazine which ran from 1930 - 1936.  The entire run of 37 issues is included in this volume.  Short of finding a complete set of these magazines, piecing a set together will surely be a multi-year process!

The heart of this series is Lionel's Model Builder magazine.  This iconic publication ran for 80 issues from 1937-1949.  Before I developed this archive it was not uncommon to see high quality complete sets of these with an asking price of $800!

For about $1/issue you will receive these two iconic publications plus the Lionel Railroader Club Publication Archive and an archive containing many classic pieces that were not really catalogs or magazines -- but worthwhile items none-the-less!

3)  American Flyer fans were not forgotten in these efforts!  Three volumes focus on Chicago era American Flyer (1907 - 1937), the American Flyer transitionary period to A.C. Gilbert from 1938 - 1945, and classic toy train advertising featuring American Flyer, A.C. Gilbert, and others.

Full details of all of these items plus the Lionel Postwar Service Manual Digital Archive are posted on our web-site:  www.hslinc.com .  Shipping/handling charges will apply.  Remember, all sales must be completed by September 30th, 2014.

Thank you again for your support.

If you collect Lionel or Flyer now, or think you might want to do so in the future, these references are certainly something you'll want to have readily available in your library and at your fingertips.  Sadly, I imagine this will be your last opportunity to get them.  I can't imagine that anyone in the future will expend the time, energy, and resources that John has in compiling all this information in such a logical and easy-to-access collection.

I believe I have just about everything John has ever produced, and I can't begin to recall the number of times I have referred to these discs in researching the truly illustrious history of these two firms.

At half price--they're easily worth twice their original price in my opinion--how can you possibly miss?

Treat yourself to an early Christmas present!

Petrifiedagg,

Thank you for your purchase and comments!  The Model Builder series is a great archive with over 70 articles by Frank Ellison!  Other great authors of numerous articles include Robert Sherman and Louis Hertz.
