Command Control Switch Problem/Question ****Problem Solved***

I don't have any Fastrack Switches so don't know how to program them. I don't know but it kind of sounds like they are still in program mode when you power off the layout.

Hold a switch button until the lantern start blinking.  Press SW, ##, SET where ## is the desired switch number.  Do that one at a time for each switch, picking unique numbers for the switches.

 I am able to program all of my Command Control switches as prescribed in the manual.   So, here's the problem.   When I turn the power to the layout off and then turn it on again, all of the command control switches lose their memory and their addresses and need to be programmed again before they will respond to the 990 Legacy system that I am using to control the Lionel Engines and Command Control Fastrack Switches.

 I am using a Z4K for power.  I am also running MTH DCS (Rev. L TIU) with a ground running from the back of the 990 "U" Terminal to the ground side of the MTH Distribution Terminal Block.  Track power is set at 18 volts AC and each of the switches has a "choke" in place of the factory track power jumper so that the DCS Signal isn't corrupted.  What am I doing wrong?   As always, any help is graciously appreciated.

How about I didn't have the remote fully charged and the switches were not receiving a strong enough signal.   DAH!!!!!  They work fine now!   

The Legacy remote only "talks" to the base. The base stores the programming and sends/receives signals. So, almost correct. The base was not storing the SW# programming because the remote was not sending the commands completely or on restart the remote was not receiving the info from base.
