hot water, not sure you would have to call them, google, sinner brothers,,, I know if you have the part, they will cast it.
Read about the old timers and a bunch of them cast their own parts in brass and other soft metals. Lost wax is a bit more complicated.

Hot digs! I have some Erie-Built stuff that needs to be converted to sand cast brass - maybe this is the same outfit that cast my 1 1/2" scale couplers.

Go for it, Bob. Let us all know how it works out.
I've been looking at rolling my own. I place the blame on this with a few individuals on this forum who allowed my rivet-counting and roster-checking infection to take over. So if you'd like to roll your own (and give your airbrush some exercise), here's where the stuff can be found:
- Car sides and cores: www.unionstationproducts.com About $60 for the car core and sides. Their sides are prototypical and they have the car order data and numbers for a lot of them. They have ACF and Budd style sides and the core kits are either ACF or Budd style
- Interior and detail parts: www.deltamodelsusa.com Varies depending on how far you want to go.
- Trucks: MTH. They have them in 2-rail and 3-rail and they're good enough for the 3-foot rule. $29/pair MSRP.
You'll end up with some prototypeically-accurate, albeit expensive, O scale cars
Hope this helps.
