Custom load for an MTH Premier 41 foot flatcar #20-90547C.
The MTH Premier 41 foot flatcar is a very detailed flatcar model that is an example of a steam era railcar. The model features a very detailed underframe with brake gear rigging. Lettering on the model is as follows:
NYC 481572 CAPY 80000 LD LMT 32400 BLT 5.10L 41.0
This particular model included a Sherman tank load which I decided not to use. As a result a custom crated load was built to simulate a more typical machinery load.

I had to get more of those MTH flatcars for this, my Land-Speed-Record cars train is one of my favorites, if pure fantasy. It started, as many collections do, with one: I put Bluebird on one of these flatcars and it looked good . . . Most of the cars are commercially built, a couple scratch.
