GRJ,

I ordered the pin headers from your links. More than I will ever need.  Anyway, If I understand this right.  The female header pin wire will be attached to antenna rail on locomotive.  The male header pin wire will be attached to center rail pickup on the tender.

This will help the signal on both the tethered & wireless tethered engines.

I also bought 22 ohm 1/2 watt resisters.  I hope that was correct.

It's not for helping the signal, it's for helping the locomotive over dead spots and switches!  Each of the ends of the tether are connected to the track power center roller, NOT to the antenna!

I only mentioned the antenna as that was the picture I took.  I use the same scheme for my locomotive to tender tether for power sharing.  I shouldn't have even said the word antenna.

The 20 or 22 ohm resistor is a specific type of resistor, it's a 3 watt wire-wound resistor.

Here's a suitable 22 ohm wire wound resistor.

And here's the 20 ohm wire wound resistor.
