Even though it does not appear to work, I decided to buy it anyway. I have nothing to lose since it is covered under warranty. Anyway, it was the last really cool looking locomotive in our store that is modern. This is a Legacy Locomotive with the Legacy command features. It will also run conventional, but alas she does not run at all. Probably the mother board or something like that. I seem to attract the weird ones. LOL
Anyway, I am taking it to a repair facility I can drive to and hopefully the fellow can determine what is wrong with her and order the parts.
I did not do a write up on this locomotive, but it is fairly basic. There are only three things that are not exactly to my liking, but were not enough to dissuade me from purchasing her. The first is a lack of window shades. Which actually look real cool on these type locomotives. The second is the fuel tank is a little high off the rails. Which is not prototypical. The fuel tanks on Dash 9's rest pretty close to the rails in real life.
The third is. cab roof details, like the GPS are not there. This is not really a big deal and yes I care more about getting her running because I am anxious to see her pull those auto racks in front of my desert back ground.
War Bonnets look great and in the desert and they look fabulous because of the coloring. So, we'll see what's happening and hopefully I can get her running. Take some pictures/video as well.
