This was my first York and besides shaking hands and giving the thumbs up to Rich Melvin for doing a great job with this Forum and OGR, I had to stop by and say hello to Alex Malliae.

A really supper person with a great product improvement to Korbers kits. I could tell with his attention to detail on his models that he takes great personal pride in his work. I was not able to take any photos because I did not want to get in the way of the items selling themselves, and the people admiring his displays.

I signed Eddies get well card and thought that was great of Alex to do that.

Thank you for your hints on assembling and painting Korber's kits, I cannot wait to tackle mine.

To your good health Alex and keep up the great work. You are a great inspiration to the hobby!

This was my first York too.  I didn't get there till Friday afternoon.  Met Alex for the first time to say Hi.  As always from what I hear, Alex was very personable & nice guy.  Someone I surely want to do business with and will.    I briefly asked how's sales are so far and he told me that he was just about sold out of everything he brought.  Which is great to hear.  I wanted to buy some stuff from him but he was sold out.  I will order what I need on line from him.

Larry, I'm sure Alex can fill in some of the details, but I get the impression Alex builds the Korber kits whenever somebody selects the built-up option.

I would have purchased the Power & Light building that was on display (and sell my unassembled kit), but the display model was already sold.    So I guess I'll need to get around to building the kit I purchased MANY years ago.

Best wishes on your upcoming retirement.  I ran into Ted and York, and I can vouch for the fact that retirement is suiting him very well.

David
