I have used Stan Orr parts for years and now I can't pull up his web site. I see he still advertises in train publications. I hope we have not lost another good parts supplier. Anybody know?

Stan Orr was probably the first Lionel parts dealers that I used. He would set up at the 1970's Amityville train shows that were run by Ernie K, and also did mail order.
My Little League coach used to do that show. That's where I was first exposed to Post War. My wife worked for her mom making food in the kitchen. We had our reception there. How many train guys had their reception in the room where the train shows happen?

I grew up in Seaford and went to Ernie's shows all the time. Bought a lot of parts from Stan when I lived on the Island. There were some good shows back then.

I hope not - I remember buying some things from him via mail as a kid in the early 1980s. I'd write the letters to him on a Smith-Corona typewriter we had, then wait a month for my mom's check to clear and the package to come. I just found a couple of his old catalogs from that era - was thinking about contacting him to see if he'd like me to send them back to him if he didn't have any copies of his own from that era.

LOL, I think I still have a few of the credit slips he'd send for out of stock merchandise.

According to everything that I have found online Stan Orr Train Parts is still in business and doing well. They are still selling Std & O-Gauge Tinplate parts and Postwar parts.
The information I located was all found using Google Search. I don't know how accurate it is.
His web site seems to be gone. Do you have a new URL?
He lived down the road from me off the old route 52 and 216. Went to the Stormville airport flea markets sometimes.
His website isn't working, no matter how you search it. I have tried the last two days, and it takes you to a totally useless page, not related to Stan Orr.
Last may is the latest snapshot I see in the Internet Archive. Also, it appears someone renewed the domain name in November, my guess is a domain squatter.

He was the first parts dealer I used too and I have not seen one of those catalogs since the 1990's. The parts catalog brings back memories. I think he used to do a show (maybe Greenberg's) at Yonkers Raceway.

Stan Orr still has contact info online. If you Google "Stan Orr" you will find that info with his phone number, etc. Unfortunately, Stan never promoted his services or products with OGR so I have no "accurate" info on him in our customer system....
